UFC middleweight Jason MacDonald will get the opportunity to fight in front of his home countrymen at UFC 97 against Nate Quarry. MacDonald is looking to rebound off of a shocking loss to Wilson Gouveia last month. Quarry is also looking to get back on the winning track after his disappointing performance against Damian Maia at UFC 91.

Quarry was dominated by the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu wizard, ultimately getting submitted in the1stRound of their affair.

MacDonald has fallen into a bad cycle of winning a bout, then losing his next. That pattern has held true in his last eight MMA bouts, so if that trend continues Quarry is in for some trouble.

MMAWeekly.com confirmed with sources close to both fighters that fight agreements have been signed and submitted.

The event will take place on April 18th at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada and will be the second UFC event held north of the border.

Here are the fighters Rumored to be competing:

Luis Cane vs. TBD
Matt Wiman vs. Sam Stout
David Bielkheden vs. Mark Bocek
T.J. Grant vs. Ryo Chonan
Krzysztof Soszynski vs. Brian Stann
