UFC Wanted South Of The Border

Kevin Iole of Yahoo! Sports recently spoke with UFC president Dana White after he had returned from a trip to Mexico City. Reports state that White was in negotiations for a television deal that would allow the UFC to air their first live card in Mexico.

This step continues the UFC’s view of a global Mixed Martial Arts promotion. They have already worked their way into  Germany and have expressed an interest of doing the same in Japan.

There is no word on whether the UFC will actually hold an event in Mexico. Combat sports are widely popular south of the border and would likely generate plenty of revenue for the UFC.
