UFC Ken Shamrock

Former WWE Champion Kurt Angle was supposed to be fighting for the IFL, but rumors quickly died Ken Shamrock and IFL co-founder Kurt Otto appeared on HDNet’s Inside MMA.

“[Kurt Angle] was supposed to fight me, but he got scared and backed out,” Shamrock said during the appearance.

“The bottom line is when we talked about it, we gave him an opponent he came and sat ringside with us down in Florida, and he was two-feet away from the action he backed off a little bit,” Otto chimed in.

“I still respect you for what you did in the Olympics, but this is MMA.

You don’t come into MMA and say you’re going to do something and then you don’t,” Shamrock continued.

We’ll have to wait and see how this story develops. Badmouthing the man who really has nothing to gain won’t help the IFL land the former gold medalist.
