Mike Swick will be taking on Ben Saunders at UFC 99 on June 13th at the Lanxess Arena in Cologne, Germany. The bout will mark a pivotal step for Swick as he continues to climb the UFC’s steep welterweight ladder.

FiveOuncesofPain confirmed the bout with sources close to the situation. Bout agreements are expected to be signed within the coming week.

Swick is coming off of a stellar performance at “UFC Fight for the Troops” last December. It took the American Kickboxing Academy fighter all of 33 seconds to knockout Jonathan Goulet in the 1stRound of their affair.

Since dropping down to the UFC’s 170-pound division early last year, Swick has a perfect 3-0 record. He has won eight of his last nine bouts inside of the Octagon.

Saunders also fought on the December 10th card, where he used an explosive Muay Thai clinch to unleash a devastating barrage of knees to the head of Brandon Wolff, ending the bout in the 1stRound.
