Affliction: Day of Reckoning

On Tuesday, the California State Athletic Commission suspended Kirill Sidelnikov, better known as “Baby Fedor,” for one year after testing positive for the steroid Stanozolol. Sidelnikov was TKO’ed by Paul Buentello in the 3rdRound of their Affliction “Day of Reckoning” battle.

Sidelnikov earned his nickname from the Red Devil team that he and WAMMA heavyweight champion Fedor Emelianenko share. They feel that the 20-year-old has a tremendous upside, however he holds a modest 5-3 record and is still finding his way amongst the world’s big heavyweights.

If Sidelnikov and his camp decide not to contest the suspension, he will be eligible to re-apply for a license in California after January 18, 2010, after paying a fine of $2,500.
