With just 10 days before WEC 40 is set to jump off, Anthony Pettis will be forced out of his fight against Anthony Njokuani due to an undisclosed injury. Bart Palaszewski feels that 240 hours is more than enough time to get ready for a scrap.
Palaszewski lost an uninspired unanimous decision to Ricardo Lamas in his last outing at WEC 39. The MMA veteran has dropped four of his last six fights, so he desperately needs a win over Njokuani.
Njokuani lost in his WEC debut to Ben Henderson back in January. He has a 9-2 professional record, with five wins coming via decision.
The bout between Njokuani and Palaszewski will remain on the untelevised portion of the undercard for the WEC’s debut show in the Windy City.
