As previously reported, WEC 41 will be hosted inside of the Arco Arena in Sacramento, California. The June 7the event will be headlined by the highly anticipated rematch between featherweight champion Mike Brown and company poster-boy Urijah Faber.

Tickets officially go on sale to newsletter subscribers on Tuesday, and the general public can snatch theirs up on Thursday.

Brown pulled off the ridiculous upset in November at WEC 38 when Faber ate a right fist as he attempted an unorthodox and high risk reverse-flying elbow.

Faber was sent backwards to the canvas and Brown pounced, ending Faber’s three-year winning streak in the 1stRound of their tussle.

The current champ will be riding a nine fight-wining streak into the rematch, with his last win coming in his first-ever title defense against Leonard Garcia. It took Brown all of 117 seconds to submit and dispose of the Jackson Submission trained fighter at WEC 39.

Faber responded nicely in his first fight back after losing his crown by submitting former UFC lightweight champ Jens Pulver in just 94 seconds at WEC 38 back in January.

The WEC doesn’t mind heading back to Arco as it held the organization’s largest ever event.  A company record, 12,682 fans packed in to the arena to generate a gate of $739,000.

The card also earned a WEC and Versus Network record with 1.54 million viewers. This card will also be available for free on Versus.
