All of the participants in tomorrow’s UFC Fight Night 18 event hit the scales today inside of the Sommet Center in Nashville, Tennessee.
The lightweight tilt between Jeremy Stephens and Gleison Tibau appears to be headed to a catch-weight of 158 pounds as neither fighter was able to make the 156 pound weight limit. Both fighters will most likely be fined a percentage of their salary.
In addition, Ryan Jensen and Steve Steinbeiss did not step on the scales with the other fighters. They weighed-in about 15-20 minutes after.
Although the UFC described their delayed situation due to an “administrative issue,” the bout was later scrapped due to “a medical approval issue regarding Jensen.” According to Yahoo! Sports, Jensen disclosed the use of Adderall (traditionally used to treat Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder), which caused the state’s athletic commission to call the fight.
You can catch all of the main bouts for free, LIVE on Spike TV starting at 8PM EDT/PDT. Immediately following the card, the UFC’s hit reality show, The Ultimate Fighter, returns for the debut of their ninth season.
