Spike TV has just announced they will bring back their popular “UFC Prelims” show for “UFC 114: Rampage vs. Evans” on May 29th. The hour-long broadcast will feature two live preliminary bouts beginning at 9PM ET/6PM PT.
The freebie fights will include a lightweight affair between Efrain Escudero and Dan Lauzon, while Amir Sadollah faces Dong Hyun Kim in a welterweight scrap.
The UFC first offered the teaser for UFC 103 in September to help promote the struggling fight card, and the special proved to be an effective means in generating last-minute pay-per-view buys.
The May 29th “UFC Prelims” broadcast will mark the fourth of 10 shows the UFC and Spike TV have planned for 2010.
UFC 114 takes place inside the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada and will be headlined by the light heavyweight matchup between former champs, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and Rashad Evans.
