Kim Couture will be competing in Strikeforce’s new developmental promotion, “ShoMMA: Strikeforce Challengers,” a series that will replace the organization’s “Strikeforce: Young Guns.”

Headlining the night’s event will be a middleweight clash between Billy Evangelista and Mike Aina.

Both fighters, along with Couture, were initially Rumored to be competing in Strikeforce’s June 6th event in St. Louis, Missouri, however this inagural show will allow them to be featured fighters instead of just card-fillers.

The undefeated Evangelista made his professional MMA debut in January of 2006. Of his nine victories, four have come via (T)KO along with five decisions.

Aina is quite the MMA journeyman as he has competed for EliteXC, Rumble on the Rock and Spirit MC, just to name a few. He is currently riding a two-fight win streak. Oddly, all of Aina’s losses have come via decision.

Kim Rose treated Couture like a rag doll in her MMA debut in June of 2008. Not only did the pretty puncher suffer a unanimous decision loss, but she also received a broken jaw and a bloodied up face for her efforts.

However, in true Couture fashion, Kim rebounded nicely from her loss by TKO’ing Lina Kvokov in the 1stRound of their catfight this past November.

The events will air on Showtime, filling the void left by EliteXC’s “ShoXC: Elite Challenger Series” after ProElite’s 2008 collapse.
