It is being reported that a heavyweight clash between Junior dos Santos and Justin McCully will be held at UFC 102 on August 29th.

MMAJunkie.com confirmed with sources close to the situation that both fighters have verbally agreed to the tussle and contracts should be signed shortly.

dos Santos currently holds an 8-1 professional record and is riding a three-fight winning streak. The most exciting aspect of this Brazilian is that all of his fights have ended in finishes, win or lose.

After taking only 54 seconds to dispose of Stefan Struve at UFC 95 back in February, many started considering this talented Team Nogueira fighter a legit contender.

McCully is a 12-year veteran that has trecked all over the globe to find quality scraps.  He has competed in Pancrase, Rings, Jungle Fight and the World Vale Tudo Championship, among others.

McCully is 2-1 inside of the Octagon.

UFC 102 will be the organization’s first ever event in Portland, Oregon. Here are the fighters Rumored to be competing in the night’s event:

Chris Leben vs. Jake Roshol
Justin McCully vs. Junior dos Santos
Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira vs. Randy Couture
