Former WEC middleweight champion Paulo Filho will be reportedly moving up a weight class when he makes his Dream debut at Dream.9 in May. Filho is coming off the first loss of his career, which also happened to be one of the most peculiar MMA fights in history.
Filho seemed unwilling to compete in the loss to Chael Sonnen, which was his first fight since checking into rehab for help with a substance abuse problem.
Filho has been training with fellow Jiu-Jitsu wizard, Ronaldo Jacare, in hopes of resurrecting his career in the light heavyweight division. It will be interesting to see how Filho fares at light heavyweight since he was already an undersized (in terms of height) middleweight.
