If heavyweight Bobby Lashley wants to be a serious mixed martial artist, appearing on TNA Wrestling is not his best move.
According to Dave Meltzer of Yahoo! Sports, Lashley has not signed a contract with the professional wrestling organization in order to compete in MMA without legal ramifications, but his exact role within TNA has not fully been defined.
However, that hasn’t stopped the sports entertainment company from releasing a promotional video starring you know who.
Not sure how much this particular extra curricular activity will help the recently-turned MMA fighter improve his fighting skills, but questions regarding his commitment to the sport certainly carry weight now.
TNA’s home offices are based in Florida, so Lashley will still be able to practice with his American Top Team teammates. After his uninspired unanimous decision performance against Jason Guida at Roy Jones Jr’s March Badness event, he definitely needs it.
Lashley is currently scheduled to face MMA veteran Bob Sapp on June 27th.
