Saturday marks D-Day for two of the best 145-pounders on the planet. Featherweight champ Jose Aldo looks to make his first successful title defense against former division stud Urijah Faber in the WEC’s first pay-per-view broadcast.

In anticipation of Saturday’s extravaganza, Versus Network will be airing the premiere of “Countdown to WEC 48: Aldo vs. Faber” today at 4PM ET/1PM PT.

Fans will get an inside look at the two superstars as they prepare for the most monumental day in WEC history.

It has also been reported that the UFC’s PPV team, which includes commentators Mike Goldberg and Joe Rogan, will get the nod in the broadcast booth for this weekend’s show, with UFC president Dana White serving as the event’s official promoter.

WEC 48 takes place inside the Arco Arena in Sacramento, California – the hometown of “The California Kid” Urijah Faber.

Also booked for the star-studded card is the highly anticipated rematch between newly crowned lightweight champion Ben Henderson and Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone. Former featherweight king Mike Brown will also be in action when he collides with Manny Gamburyan.
