Couture Pulls Out of Strikeforce Event

Kim Couture, wife of UFC Hall of Famer Randy, has pulled out of her May 15th fight against Meisha Tate due to personal reasons. It is being reported, by Tate herself, that the Coutures are set to part ways leaving Kim unable to prepare for the 135-pound tilt.

Tate made the announcement on her MySpace blog, and doesn’t seem too pleased with Kim “Sugar Free” Couture’s current marital status.

“So Kim ‘Sugar Free’ Couture is pulling out of the fight supposedly cuz her and Randy are getting a divorce………..I’m so pissed right now……Sugar Free my ass!!” Tate wrote.

Not sure how happy the Couture’s are that Tate decided to air their dirty laundry for them, but it looks as though Strikeforce will be forced to move on without the female Couture.

Couture currently holds a 1-1 professional record. In her MMA debut in June of 2008, Kim Rose treated her like a rag doll. Not only did the pretty puncher suffer a unanimous decision loss, but she also received a broken jaw and a bloodied up face for her efforts.

However, in true Couture fashion, Kim rebounded nicely from that loss by TKO’ing Lina Kvokov in the 1stRound of their catfight this past November.

Tate is riding a four-fight winning streak, finishing in three of those affairs.

No word on what Tate’s fate will be in regards to the upcoming Strikeforce event.
