The UFC has dropped middleweight Jason “Dooms” Day from their active roster. The Canadian holds an unimpressive 1-2 record inside the Octagon, dropping his last two fights by 1stRound TKO.
Sportsnet.ca was the first to report on Day’s unemployment status.
Day (17-8) was most recently battered by former The Ultimate Fighter 3 winner Kendall Grove at UFC 96 last month. Little did he know that it would be the last time he would set foot inside a UFC cage.
Despite losing his last two scraps, the talented Day had won his previous five, however it wasn’t good enough for an organization that is intent on trimming its fat.
The UFC would like to wish you a good Day, Jason.
