Today, Dream announced their Dream.9 event will not only feature the 2ndRound of their Featherweight and Middleweight Grand Prix tourneys, but it will also host the opening round of an open-weight tournament which will include former MLB roider Jose Canseco.

Canseco will be taking on the 7’2″ Korean behemoth Hong Man Choi in the 1stRound of the eight-man “Super Hulk Tournament.” Also, popular K-1 fighter Bob Sapp will be facing Ikuhisa “Minowaman” Minowa, Jan Nortje will be fighting UFC fallout Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou and Dream middleweight king Gegard Mousasi will battle Mark Hunt.

Canseco, who claims he is a decorated mixed martial arts fighter, recently was slapped silly by former NFL player Vai Sikahema in a boxing match, and fought former child-star Danny Bonaduce to a majority draw.

This will mark the controversial 44-year-old’s professional MMA debut.
