With little MMA activity since discarding Andrei Arlovski this past January, Fedor Emelianenko’s manager Vadim Finkelchtein claims that his prized fighter will most likely compete again sometime this July or August in Japan.
The WAMMA heavyweight champion hasn’t competed since he knocked out former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski at Affliction “Day of Reckoning” last July.
However, Finkelchtein did confirm that Fedor’s next opponent will be someone who is currently ranked in the top 10. With most of the top 10 heavyweights in the UFC, it will be interesting to find out which world rankings he is referring to as they decide on his next foe.
Fedor still has one fight remaining under his contract with Affliction, but Affliction VP Tom Atencio has yet to confirm anything regarding their theird MMA show, which has left the door open for a summertime fight overseas.
