Randleman Returns Against Whitehead

Controversial MMA vet Kevin Randleman will be ending his 13-month hiatus to take on Mike Whitehead on Strikeforce’s June 6th event.

Randleman inked a deal with the organization last month, and they wasted no time in putting him to work. He certainly has no qualms with that notion.

“Now that I’m here, understand this – it comes from the heart,” Randleman said. “I’ll fight anybody, anywhere. I’m not coming to lose, and I’m not coming to back up.”

Randleman had been suspended indefinitely by the Nevada State Athletic Commission after he failed a 2006 drug test following his PrideFC bout against Mauricio “Shogun” Rua. It was reported that he submitted to the Commission a urine sample that could have only come from a dead human or an animal.

Whitehead has quietly compiled one of the hottest streaks in all of MMA as he has won 14 of his last 15 fights. His latest came in M-1’s October show where he subbed Leo Pla with a sick guillotine choke in the 1stRound of their contest.

Here is the lineup that is Rumored to be competing inside the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Missouri:

Preliminary Bouts:

Rafael “Feijao” Cavalcante vs. TBD
Booker DeRousse vs. James Wade
Torrance Taylor vs. Lyle Beerbohm

Joe Riggs vs. Phil Baroni
