According to reports, Sengoku has paired up the semifinalists for their Featherweight Grand Prix Tourney on August 2nd.

The undefeated Marlon Sandro will be taking on Michihiro Omigawa in the tournament’s upper bracket. Sandro is coming off impressive back-to-back performances by defeating Matt Jaggers and Nick Denis to advance to the semi’s.

“It was wonderful,” Sandro told the popular Brazilian website TATAME.com. “I can’t handle with more injuries. My goal is to end the fights the faster possible in every fight. The faster the fights end, better to me. I need to be fast in the first one. I want to knock him out or submit fast, I’m training to fight eight rounds in two fights.”

Hatsu Hioki will face Masanori Kanehara to determine Sengoku’s other Featherweight GP finalist.

Hioki defeated Chris Manuel and Ronnie Mann to earn his keep, while Kanehara discarded Jong Man Kim and Chan Sung Jung to get here.
