The California State Athletic Commission has suspended ten “WEC 48: Aldo vs. Faber” contestants for injuries sustained in their respective scraps this past Saturday in Sacramento, CA. Company superstar Urijah Faber and his severely battered leg will be forced to sit the sidelines for up to six months.

Faber sustained countless vicious kicks to his left thigh throughout his 25-minute tango with reigning king Jose Aldo. Thanks to the Brazilian, “The California Kid” is looking at a lengthy sabbatical, however could return to action earlier with the proper medical clearance.

If Faber can produce a doctor’s note, he would only be out 45 days as a precautionary measure.

Urijah Faber: suspended six months or until he is cleared by a physician for his left thigh and knee injury, reducing his exit to only 45 days as a precautionary measure.

Leonard Garcia: suspended six months or until medically cleared for a possible right hand fracture.

Chan Sung Jung: suspended six months or until medically cleared for a right distal ulna shaft fracture (the distal ulna is in the forearm near the wrist), as well as two months for a facial laceration.

Mike Brown: is suspended 45 days as a precautionary measure.

Antonio Banuelos: is suspended six months or until medically cleared for a possible nasal fracture.

Scott Jorgensen: is also suspended six months or until medically cleared for a possible left metacarpal fracture.

Anthony Pettis: is suspended six months or until medically cleared for a fracture in his right foot.

Brad Pickett: is suspended six months or until medically cleared for a left clavicle fracture.

Demetrious Johnson:, is suspended six months or until medically cleared for a dislocation and fracture of his right thumb.

Brandon Visher: is suspended 45 days as a precautionary measure.
