One of the most anticipated grudge matches in UFC history will finally take place five months after it was originally scheduled. “The Ultimate Fighter 10” coaches, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and Rashad Evans, will finally face off at UFC 114 on May 29th.
To say that Jackson and Evans dislike each other would be an understatement. Their season of TUF was more about their beef than the heavyweights they were preparing to earn the six-figure UFC contract.
The two light heavyweights were supposed to fight at UFC 107 in December, but “Rampage’s” desire to play B.A. Baracus in the upcoming movie ‘The A-Team‘ and subsequent spat with UFC president Dana White caused him to briefly retire from MMA.
Now that Jackson is back in the fold, their trash talking hasn’t skipped a beat, particularly as the May 29th date inches closer.
“I decided that I’m gonna leave @Rampage4real aka Quitting Jackson (lol) alone cuz I don’t want @Danawhite 2 call me saying he quit again!” Evans tweeted.
Jackson’s response was a little more to the point, “bring your pillow cause you going to sleep boy!! Dem chin stands ain’t gonna help!!”
With that said, here’s a peak at the first “UFC 114: Rampage vs. Evans” pay-per-view trailer:
