“UFC 98: Evans vs. Machida” Results

UFC 98 took place tonight at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.  Lyoto Machida looked impressive enrout to becoming the UFC’s new light heavyweight king. Rashad Evans was put to sleep in the 2ndRound of his first ever title defnese.

Yoshiyuki Yoshida Defeated Brandon Wolff via Submission (Guillotine Choke) at 2:24 in the 1stRound
Krzysztof Soszynski Defeated Andre Gusmao via TKO at 3:17 in the 1stRound
Kyle Bradley Defeated Phillipe Nover via TKO at 1:03 in the 1stRound
Tim Hague Defeated Patrick Barry via Submission (Guillotine Choke) at 1:42 in the 1stRound
Brock Larson Defeated Mike Pyle via Submission (Side Choke) at 3:06 in the 1stRound

Frank Edgar Defeated Sean Sherk via Unanimous Decision (30-27, All Three Judges)
Chael Sonnen Defeated Dan Miller via Unanimous Decision (30-27, All Three Judges)
Drew McFedries Defeated Xavier Foupa-Pokam via TKO at :37 in the 1stRound
Matt Hughes Defeated Matt Serra via Unanimous Decision (29-28, All Three Judges)
Lyoto Machida Defeated Rashad Evans via TKO at 3:57 in the 2ndRound. Machida is the new UFC Light Heavyweight Champion.
