Dream.9 took place inside of the the Yokohama Arena in Kanagawa, Japan in the wee hours of this early Tuesday morning. The star-studded event played host to their highly-anticipated Super Hulk Tournament, as well as a middleweight title bout between Jason “Mayhem” Miller and Ronaldo Jacare.

The show was broadcast LIVE on HDNet, however if you missed it, they will be re-airing the card again today at 4PM EDT/1PM PDT.

In the night’s main event, Mayhem landed an accidental illegal kick to the top of Jacare’s head, which opened up a nasty gash. Ringside doctors examined the cut, however determined the Brazilian would be able to continue.

After the fighters continued action, blood immediately started to pour from Jacare’s dome, this time covering both fighters in a thick coat of red.

The two were separated again, this time exchanging some words as the doctors took a second look at Jacare’s melon. Unfortunately, they made the only call they could, putting and end to the open middleweight title bout.

Because Miller’s strike was deemed accidental, the fight was ruled a No Contest.
