TMZ is reporting that former UFC light heavyweight champion Forrest Griffin has pulled out of his UFC 114 fight with Antonio Rogerio Nogueira on May 29th due to a shoulder injury.

The celebrity gossip website was not able to confirm the extent of the injury or how long Griffin will be sidelined for. The severity of the injury will likely determine whether Nogueira will remain on the pay-per-view broadcast against a different foe or wait out Griffin’s return.

Griffin’s removal represents a significant blow to UFC 114’s card since he and Little Nog were set to be the co-main event in Las Vegas.

The night’s featured bout will be the light heavyweight grudge match between former champions Rashad Evans and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson.

We’ll have more on Griffin’s injury and UFC 114 as news develops.
