Title Shot On The Line For Bisping & Henderson

Michael Bisping and Dan Henderson’s July 11th showdown at UFC 100 just became a lot more interesting following an announcement from a UFC spokesperson which stated, “Michael [Bisping] will fight [Dan] Henderson at UFC 100 in Vegas, and the winner will get a world title shot.”

The Manchester Evening News broke the story, and their unnamed source also confirmed that if Bisping does win the top  contender match-up, his title shot will likely take place in Manchester, England, just blocks away from where Bisping currently resides.

Talk about fighting in your own backyard.

Although the winner of the Henderson/Bisping fight is assured a title shot, it’s still unclear whether it will take place before or after Japanese sensation Yushin Okami finally gets his crack at the UFC middleweight crown.

So UFC 100 will not only have the UFC’s heavyweight and welterweight titles on the line, but a top contender scrap for Anderson Silva’s middleweight title too? The UFC certainly didn’t disappoint for their monumental event.
