UFC Light Heavyweight Mauricio Shogun Rua

After a spectacular night of fights at “UFC 113: Machida vs. Shogun II,” president Dana White awarded four contestants an extra $65,000 each for their special performances inside the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

Newly crowned light heavyweight champion Mauricio “Shogun” Rua left no doubt as to who the best 205-pounder in the world is when he put Lyoto Machida to sleep in the 1stRound of their highly anticipated rematch.

Jeremy Stephens and Sam Stout treated fans to an action-packed slugfest as well. Although the split decision loss wasn’t what Stout was hoping for in front of his countrymen, the extra $65,000 should ease some of the lightweight’s pain.

Alan Belcher earned Submission of the Night honors with an impressive 2ndRound rear-naked choke over Patrick Cote.

Fight of the Night:

Jeremy Stephens and Sam Stout ($65,000/each)

Submission of the Night:

Alan Belcher ($65,000)

Knockout of the Night:

Mauricio “Shogun” Rua ($65,000)
