Josh Koscheck Takes UFC 113 Victory, But Paul Daley Steals the Show

Josh Koscheck and Paul Daley engaged in some of the most entertaining pre-fight trash talking MMA has witnessed in quite some time. UFC president Dana White threw fuel on the welterweight fire when he announced the victor at UFC 113 would face champion Georges St-Pierre in their next outing.

That flame turned into a vicious wildfire at the conclusion of their pivotal scrap Saturday night inside the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada. After Koscheck wrestled his way to a lopsided unanimous decision victory, a frustrated Daley landed a left hook to Koscheck’s face WELL after the final horn sounded.

Although it was a blatant cheap shot, it was the best shot the slugger landed all night.

Referee Dan Miragliotta immediately pulled Daley off and asked the Brit, “Are you kidding me?”

During the UFC 113 post-fight presser, White said that Daley will never set foot inside of an Octagon again – even if he were to one day become the MMA’s best pound-for-pound fighter.

Despite thoroughly dominating Daley for the better part of their 15-minute affair, Koscheck was violently booed for his less than spectacular wrestling match.

“Don’t worry; next week the Pittsburgh Penguins are going to kick your ass,” MMA’s latest villain yelled at the crowd. “Then I’m going to beat St-Pierre, and you guys are going to lose twice. How do you like that, Montreal?”

Speaking of losing twice, GSP owns a dominant 20-2 professional record and handed Kos a unanimous decision loss in their initial meeting at UFC 74 in August 2007.
