Heavyweight champ Alistair Overeem will be making his highly anticipated stateside return tonight as a 3-to-1 favorite to retain his strap against Brett Rogers at “Strikeforce: Heavy Artillery.”

Overeem holds an impressive 32-11 MMA record, however this will mark his first Strikeforce appearance since dominating Paul Buentello to capture the open heavyweight title back in November 2007.

He’s since fought outside of the promotion on seven separate occasions.

Rogers stakes claim to a 10-1 professional record and has finished in all of his wins. Unfortunately, Rogers attempted the highly ineffective face-to-fist defense against Fedor Emelianenko in his last bout and wound up paying dearly for it.

The Showtime broadcast will be jumping off inside the Scottrade Center in St Louis, Missouri.

Here are the betting lines for tonight’s event:

Vitor Ribeiro -160
Lyle Beerbohm +120

Ronaldo Souza -600
Joey Villasenor +350

Rafael Cavalcante -200
Antwain Britt +150

Roger Gracie -500
Kevin Randleman +300

Andrei Arlovski -180
Antonio Silva +140

Alistair Overeem -300
Brett Rogers +200
