After much controversy, Shine Fight Promotions has canceled tonight’s “Worlds Collide” pay-per-view broadcast just moments before the Crown Coliseum doors in Fayetteville, NC were set to open.

This morning, Broward Country Circuit Court Judge Marc C. Gold ruled in favor of Don King Productions, granting the promoter’s company with an injunctive relief against Shine.

The start-up MMA organization initially said they were going to ignore the court order and move forward with featuring Ricardo Mayorga in tonight’s event.

Hours later, Karyn Bryant of MMAHeat reported that Shine opted to obey the judge’s demands and pull the boxer from the main event against MMA journeyman Din Thomas. Bryant added the night’s co-featured bout between Murilo “Ninja” Rua and David Heath was promoted to the night’s final contest.

MiddleEasy.com – who is currently on location – Tweeted they were not allowing any fans into the arena and offered full refunds that can be redeemed on Monday.

As this article was being published, Bryant Tweeted that it was the North Carolina Athletic Commission that ultimately pulled the plug on tonight’s show.
