The complete cast for the upcoming 10th season of “The Ultimate Fighter” reality show has just been released and to nobody’s surprise, Kevin “Kimbo Slice” Ferguson is headlining. In contrast to previous seasons, all 16 fighters automatically get a bed inside the TUF house this year.
Former UFC light heavyweight champs Rashad Evans and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson will be coaching opposite each other, pushing these aspiring heavyweights to levels they never knew existed.
“TUF 10” will feature only one weight class, the heavyweights, which means the organization will only be awarding one six-figure contract this season. In past seasons there were always two weight divisions that enabled the UFC to offer multiple deals.
It is possible that they could lock up some of the other contestants, ahem Kimbo, that don’t win the 16-man tournament. With talented fighters like Wes Sims and former IFL heavyweight champ Roy Nelson on the show, it certainly won’t be a cakewalk for the street fighter.
As long as Kimbo works hard in the gym and shows an ounce of charisma, there is no reason why the world’s biggest mixed martial arts organization wouldn’t want to bring him on board.
Here’s how this season’s cast breaks down:
