On Thursday, Dream hosted a press conference to announce that Dream.15 will take place July 10th inside the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan.
The highly anticipated card will feature a four-man light heavyweight Grand Prix, which was originally scheduled for Dream 14 at the end of this month. Although tournament contestants were not announced, former Strikeforce 205-pound king Gegard Mousasi is expected to participate.
The victors will meet in the finals at Dream.16 in September.
Outside of Mousasi, the company announced that Dream lightweight champ Shinya Aoki, Strikeforce heavyweight champion Alistair Overeem, Deep lightweight title holder Katsunori Kikuno, Tatsuya Kawajiri, and Melvin Manhoef will all take part in the show.
Although no specific matchups were confirmed, it’s possible Kawajiri could put his four-fight winning streak on the line to challenge Aoki for his strap in the night’s featured contest.
