Heavyweight Tim Sylvia

It’s been a quiet weekend for the major MMA organizations, but there were  some other fights that went down. Former UFC fighters Tim Sylvia and Matt Lindland got back on the winning track and former Power Ranger Jason Frank notched a ‘W’ as well.

Sylvia, a former heavyweight champion, continued to move back towards being relevant. He avoided another disasterous “freakshow” loss by defeating 5-time World’s Strongest Man Mariusz Pudzianowski.

Check out Sylvia’s TKO win below:

Lindland was relegated to headlining a “Strikeforce Challengers” event against Kevin Casey after being dominated by “Jacare” Souza at “Strikeforce: Evolution.”

“The Law” bounced back in his second bout under the Strikeforce banner as he stopped Casey with punches in the 3rdRound.

Former Green Ranger Jason David Frank won his fourth fight in five months (all as an amateur) against Carlos Horn with an armbar submission.
