Affliction Well Represented at "Ultimate Chaos"

Not only will Affliction vice president Tom Atencio be facing Randy Hedderick at tomorrow’s “Ultimate Chaos” event in Biloxi, Mississippi, but a few of his fighters will be participating on the card as well.

Sure the event’s promoters, Prize Fight MMA and Fight Force International, have been aggressively pushing the featured bout between former WWE employee Bobby Lashley and former Chicago Bear Bob Sapp, however it’s the results of a couple of the night’s other fights that interest Affliction fans.

“The winner of the Gilbert Yvel-Pedro Rizzo fight is gonna fight Paul Buentello,” Atencio told 5thRound.com in an exclusive interview earlier this week. “It has been rumored, but you are pretty much getting the confirmation from me.”

Obviously, the victor will have to escape unscathed in order to make Affliction’s August 1st “Trilogy” event inside the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.

In addition, lightweight sensation Chris Horodecki and Brett Rogers are also fighting on the same Mississippi card. They are both also scheduled to be on Affliction’s third MMA event as well.

Horodecki will be facing William Sriyapai, and Cooper meets Waachiim Spiritwold inside the cage this Saturday.

When asked if Atencio would be backstage cheering for his guys to not only win, but leave healthy, the soft-spoken VP made no bones about what he would like to happen this weekend.

“Of course,” Atencio emphatically told us about his guys’ health. “You always want everyone to leave healthy after fighting, however you really want them healthy if they are your fighters. I think that Chris and Brett will be fine, they are great competitors and that’s why we signed them.”

You can catch this Affliction, ahem, “Ultimate Chaos” card only on pay-per-view for $29.95.
