If recent reports hold true, UFC lightweight Roger Huerta is set to return from his year-long Octagon hiatus to take on Gray Maynard at “Ultimate Fight Night 19” in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Sherdog.com is reporting that both fighters have agreed to the the scrap and bout agreements should be signed shortly.

Huerta was last seen, many moons ago, losing a unanimous decision to Kenny Florian at UFC 87. Since then, MMA’s pretty boy decided to put mixed martial arts on the back burner and pursue an acting career.

Heading into his scrap with Florian, Huerta had rolled off 17 consecutive W’s without a defeat. However when the UFC offered a contract extension to the Minnesota native, he respectfully declined, opting to fight out the last bout remaining on his current deal.

Maynard is one of the division’s big up-and-comers as he holds a perfect 7-0 mark. The Xtreme Couture-trained fighter looked nothing short of dominant in his last win over Jim Miller at UFC 96.

He does need to be careful as his last three victories have come via decision, and we all know how much the UFC discourages that.

UFC Fight Night 19 will be jumping off inside the Cox Convention Center on September 16th and as always, Spike TV will be broadcasting the event.
