Brock Lesnar is already sitting atop the UFC’s heavyweight mountain, however it appears he still feels the need to dazzle us with his freakish strength. This time, he is claiming that he out-punched Shane Carwin at a local Dave and Busters.
“Shane Carwin and I actually met the day before UFC 96,” Lesnar told GroundNPound.org. “He is a great guy – we actually had our punch forces tested too.
“We were told to throw the hardest right cross we could on a punching bag. I was able to rack up 1350 pounds per square inch. He did a little over 1200, making my punch harder.”
This encounter must have happened in Lesnar’s dreams because Carwin’s response to the heavyweight king was Arnold Drummond-esque – “Whatchoo talking about Willis?”
“The guy is a freaking liar,” Carwin told FiveOuncesofPain.com. “We never meet at UFC 96. I was getting ready for a battle with Gonzaga, not hanging out at Dave and Busters with Brock. I do not understand why guys like Brock claim to have tested against me. He has the belt, shouldn’t he be the standard?”
Carwin is absolutely correct. As the champion in the largest MMA organization on the planet, Lesnar should focus his attention on being an ambassador for the sport. However, this is uncharted territory for Lesnar. Keep in mind that he was previously employed by the WWE where the wildest stories would only enhance your aura and increase your cash flow.
It’s highly likely that more outrageous stories are coming as Lesnar’s MMA journey is just beginning.
The question is, when will these two cross paths during that venture?
