Renato “Babalu” Sobral is looking to extend his current five-fight winning streak at “Affliction: Trilogy” as he takes on highly-touted Gegard Mousasi. Babalu is well aware of the dangers that Mousasi presents as he has been perfect through his previous 12 scraps.

“On the ground, that’s where I can take advantage (of him),” Sobral said when asked where he thinks he can exploit Mousasi.

Whether that is true or not remains to be seen as Mousasi also has a very accomplished ground game as evidenced by his triangle-choke submission victory over former top middleweight contender Denis Kang at Dream.2 last April.

Babalu admitted that he has a couple of tricks up his sleeve for his upcoming tussle, but wouldn’t divulge them as he’s planning to surprise the Iranian fighter.

A victory by either fighter on August 1st will propel them towards much bigger and better things. Either Babalu will take his sixth in a row and climb back up the light heavyweight ladder, or Mousasi will further cement his claim as a top five light heavyweight in the world.
