During Monday’s media day to promote “The Ultimate Fighter 12” in Las Vegas, Nevada, Josh Koscheck relayed what he’s heard through the MMA grapevine regarding Georges St Pierre’s overly-perfect physique.
“From what I’ve heard from other fighters in other camps, yeah, [St-Pierre] has done steroids and HGH, possibly,” Koscheck told MMAJunkie.com. “I don’t know. This is just on hearsay information that I’ve gotten.
“BJ Penn and his camp gave me a little phone call. They were saying, ‘Yeah, he’s on steroids. He’s this, he’s that.’ I said, ‘Yeah, there’s a possibility. The guy is pretty ripped all year round.'”
With an impending rematch against the planet’s sickest 170-pounder scheduled when filming wraps on TUF 12, Kos proved to the world that his momma didn’t raise no fool. The controversial wrestler was quick to reiterate that the GSP = Steroid Abuser conspiracy was strictly based on what he’s HEARD.
(So does that mean he just threw Team Penn under the bus?)
St-Pierre took a close unanimous decision over Koscheck in their only meeting at UFC 74. It was his first fight since being humbled by Matt Serra just four months prior. Kos shouldn’t feel too badly about the loss because GSP went on to destroy everyone that has crossed his path since their August 2007 date – 6 consecutive lopsided W’s in total.
It should be noted that St-Pierre has never failed a drug screening or offered resistance when asked to submit a urine sample.
