The Boston Celtics’ loss to the Los Angeles Lakers Thursday night not only cost them their 18th NBA championship, but UFC president Dana White will now be forced to put his money where Snoop Dogg’s charity’s bank account is.
“Here it is. 40g’s in hand. it’s on. go @celtics!!” White Tweeted with cheddar in tow.
It all started when NKOTB star and die-hard Celtic fan Donnie Wahlberg, better known as “the other Wahlberg,” accepted a wager from the rap superstar and longtime Laker fan. The pair agreed to shell out $20K to the others’ charity of choice if their squad were to lose.
White, who had the best seat in the house this side of Jack Nicholson on Thursday night, wanted in and is now a little lighter in the wallet for flappin’ his Bostonian gums.
“Congrats @snoopdogg @lakers and @lakers fans!!! What a great game!,” a humbled White Tweeted following the devastating loss.
