Brock Lesnar: “Don’t Believe Everything You Read On The Internet”

Those of you who saw the erroneous online report regarding UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar’s health can breathe easier now as Dana White has confirmed that Lesnar is perfectly fine.

White sent a text to Kevin Iole of Yahoo! Sports saying Lesnar is healthy as can be and is ready to go for his showdown on July 3rd.

Here’s what Iole tweeted regarding the text from White:

Just got a text from @DanaWhite who said Lesnar is “100 percent healthy and from what I’m hearing, it’s his best camp ever.”

UFC 116 already took a huge blow when middleweight Wanderlei Silva was forced to pull out of his co-main even bout with Yoshihiro Akiyama after injuring his ribs during training.

Silva has since been replaced by Chris Leben, who’s coming off of a victory over Aaron Simpson at “The Ultimate Fighter 11 Finale” on June 19th.

During yesterday’s conference call to promote the main event bout at UFC 116, the oddly jovial Lesnar was quick to point out to everybody that they should be weary of what they read online.

“Don’t believe everything you read on the Internet,” Lesnar stated.

Obviously he wasn’t referring to today’s “rumor,” which apparently originated as a hoax on MMA message boards, but it doesn’t mean what he said isn’t true.
