The WEC’s first dip into Canada was a success, as the WEC 49 crowd at Rexall Place in Edmonton, Alberta saw Jamie Varner and Kamal Shalorus fight to a controversial draw.

MMAJunkie was able to confirm that all 22 fighters who competed last Sunday received a medical suspension, although most were just for precautionary reasons.
