Don’t forget to catch Fedor Emelianenko’s highly anticipated stateside return when the Russian meets Fabricio Werdum tonight inside the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California. The Showtime broadcast kicks off at 10PM ET/PT.
SPOILER ALERT: The event will not be televised live unless you have access to an east coast feed. Please don’t continue reading if you don’t want to know the results in real time. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
We’ll be Tweeting the play-by-play for all of the main bouts in the blue Twitter box below. Please keep refreshing this page to get the latest on tonight’s scraps.
In his Strikeforce debut last November, Emelianenko posted a vicious 2ndRound knockout of then-undefeated Brett Rogers. The victory pushed the former PrideFC champion’s record to an unprecedented 31-1.
Werdum, who was released by the UFC last year after posting a mundane 2-2 Octagon record, boasts a respectable 13-4-1 overall mark and is perfect in his two scraps for Strikeforce. He was last seen taking a hard-fought unanimous decision over Antonio “Big Foot” Silva at the same “Strikeforce: Fedor vs. Rogers” show.
Emelianenko will be entering the scrap as a heavy 6-to-1 favorite to extend his winning streak to 28.

F you MFers, 31-2 is still a bad ass record! I’m disappointed with this loss but 28 out of the last 29 aint bad. You can go f yourself if you don’t like it.

nice record but which of those victories was it against actual good fighters
There is a reason why fedor does not want to get into the ufc he is scared
I won’t consider fedor the best until he beats the best

Which of those victories?? Are you for real? How about Noguiera(3 times)? How about Mark Coleman? How about Sylvia? Rogers, whole kinda unknown was 10-0 with 10 knockouts before getting ktfo by Fedor. I can’t disect everybody’s record when they fought him but many were very good.
Fedor was winning before the armbar. I give all credit to Werdum for the win, he did his job.
Fedor’s reputation and image is not tarnished here.

mark colemean is just a stupid wrestler
sylvia was winning only because of his size
noguiera is just a ground fighter
rogers is a no name
fedor sucks , werdum proved it
chicken lover commented on June 27, 2010 @ 12:04 pm
Easy to talk shit about all those guys…quite another matter to face them and destroy them as Fedor did. He doesn’t suck, and Werdum will get owned in a rematch.
You suck and you prove it by your inability to assess the truth. Boy.

Fedor will try to get a rematch against Werdum i believe…
