UFC heavyweight Shane Carwin

After witnessing Fabricio Werdum cash-in his winning lottery ticket Saturday night at “Strikeforce: Fedor vs. Werdum,” gambling addicts around the globe have been fiending for their next fix. “UFC 116: Lesnar vs. Carwin,” here we come!

Although the Gambling Gods pegged champ Brock Lesnar as an early 2-to-1 favorite to unify the heavyweight title in his highly anticipated return, it appears the money is slowly moving towards Shane Carwin as game time approaches.

Lesnar has dropped to -155, while Carwin is currently listed at +125. They’re similar in height, weight and hardware, and it seems as though the powers that be feel they should be closely rated at the sports books as well.

UFC 116 takes place inside the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, NV. The main event is being hyped as “the biggest heavyweight battle in the history,” and now that Fedor Emelianenko has finally fallen, that moniker might actually be a true statement at this point in time.
