Spike TV has just announced they will air this Friday’s “UFC 116: Lesnar vs. Carwin” weigh-ins live beginning at 7PM ET/4PM PT.

Although the edgy network has been a longtime Octagon partner, this will be the first time Spike has dabbled in the weigh-ins arena. Typically, the UFC makes their weight competitions available via stream on their website (or on 5thRound.com!), however this is no normal situation.

It ain’t everyday UFC heavyweight champ Brock Lesnar unifies the crown against interim title holder Shane Carwin. In fact, Lesnar has been inactive since unifying the strap against Frank Mir at UFC 100 back in July 2009.

In addition, Spike confirmed they have promoted the previously un-aired bout between Seth Petruzelli and Ricardo Romero to the live “UFC 116 Prelims” show.

As previously reported here on 5thRound.com, Grove was punted from the freebie broadcast after his not-so-flattering remarks towards Spike TV and “The Ultimate Fighter” brass.

Here is the latest agenda for Saturday’s event:

Preliminary Bouts:

Jon Madsen vs. Karlos Vemola
Daniel Roberts vs. Forrest Petz
Gerald Harris vs. Dave Branch
Goran Reljic vs. Kendall Grove

(Spike TV 9PM ET/6PM PT)

Seth Petruzelli vs. Ricardo Romero
Brendan Schaub vs. Chris Tuchscherer

Main Bouts:

Kurt Pellegrino vs. George Sotiropoulos
Krzysztof Soszynski vs. Stephan Bonnar
Matt Brown vs. Chris Lytle
Chris Leben vs. Yoshihiro Akiyama
Shane Carwin (UFC Interim Heavyweight Champion) vs. Brock Lesnar (UFC Heavyweight Champion)
