UFC 83 was setting records prior to the general public sales that took place yesteday. According to a UFC press release, the UFC Fight Club pre-sale sold over 13,000 tickets and now the Canadian Press is reporting that the remaining tickets sold out in one minute after being released to the general public. Dana White pretty much gaurenteed that the UFC will be back in Canada afer UFC 83 when he said, “it’s safe to say we definitely will be back in Canada after this inaugural event.”

The UFC expects over 21,000 fans to be in attendance for the UFC’s first event in Canada which features the long awaited rematch between Matt Serra and Georges St-Pierre. Serra defeated Georges St-Pierre last April which was the biggest upset in MMA history, but now St-Pierre looks to avenge that loss with the help of his home crowd.
