Fight Bonuses Awarded for UFC 100

A special night deserves a special reward, at least that is how the UFC is looking at it as they handed four UFC 100 fighters an extra $100,000 each for their special performances inside the Octagon.

Yoshihiro Akiyama and Alan Belcher took home Fight of the Night honors for their 3Round slug-fest. Although Akiyama earned a razor-thin split decision, the extra cheddar ought to help ease Belcher’s pain.

Dan Henderson won Knockout of the Night after he put Michael Bisping to sleep in the 2ndRound of their middleweight contest. The MMA vet landed a wicked right hook to the Brit’s grill, leaving him unconscious on the mat – Nate Quarry style.

Tom Lawlor won Submission of the Night after he caught CB Dollaway in a nasty guillotine choke in the opening round of their scrap.

The UFC’s previous high for fight Bonuses was $70,000, which they handed out at UFC 97 back in April.

Tonight’s historic event took place inside the Mandalay Bay Event Center in Las Vegas. If you didn’t get a chance to catch the show, make sure to check out 5thRound.com’s exclusive audio coverage of the night’s event.
