Brock Lesnar vs Shane Carwin 116 UFC

“UFC 116: Lesnar vs. Carwin” took place Saturday night inside the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Brock Lesnar silenced his haters with a dramatic come-from-behind submission victory over interim title holder Shane Carwin in the card’s featured contest.

Carwin took it to the controversial wrestler in the opening round when he dropped him with an uppercut and unleashed a barrage of bombs shortly after. Lesnar was clearly wounded but managed to survive the assault and extend the engineer further than any foe previously had – past 3 minutes and 48 seconds.

The former WWE stud showed his mettle by rallying in the second stanza. After securing an early takedown – courtesy of his Division I resume – Lesnar showcased his ever-evolving MMA game by making Carwin cry uncle to an arm-triangle choke.

Following his Ultimate Warrior-like performance, Lesnar made sure to give props to those that deserved it the most.

“I am blessed by God. I stand before you a humble champion and I’m still the toughest S.O.B. around, baby,” Lesnar sheepishly said.
