UFC Heavyweight Champ Brock Lesnar

If fans thought Brock Lesnar was in a good mood before UFC 116 on Saturday, there’s no way they’ll be able to wipe the Kool-Aid smile off his face following a thrilling come-from-behind win over Shane Carwin to unify the heavyweight crown

After enduring the beating of his life in the opening round, Lesnar managed to use his Division I All-American wrestling skills to take Carwin to the canvas just moments into the 2ndRound.

To prove to the world he’s truly diversified his portfolio, Lesnar chose not to secure a dominant full-mount position where he’d land in optimal position to drop bombs. Instead, he opted to break out some good ‘ol Brazilian jiu jitsu and have Carwin’s first professional blemish come by way of tap out.

After an arm-triangle choke ended their showdown at 2:19 in the 2ndRound, an undisputed heavyweight champion was crowned once again.

While most head for the hills once they are told they’ll be forced to stand opposite Carwin, Lesnar opted to wait until after he hung an L on the engineer’s resume before reuniting with Mother Nature.

“We need to talk about that,” Lesnar stated at the post-fight press conference when asked when he’ll face top contender Cain Velasquez. “I’m going home tonight. I’m going to visit some family when I get home. I’m a farmer now, and I’m doing what I love to do. I’ve got some combining to do this fall, and I want to shoot a white-tailed deer and spend time with my family.”
