UFC Heavyweight Champ Brock Lesnar

Although the UFC has yet to announce when Brock Lesnar will defend his undisputed heavyweight title against top contender Cain Velasquez, the Gambling Gods profess betting lines wait for no man and have already released the early odds for their impending showdown.

Following his impressive submission of Shane Carwin at UFC 116 this past Saturday, Lesnar not only bumped his record to a dominant 5-1, but the controversial wrestler handed Carwin his first professional loss in the process.

If Lesnar’s in the business of blemishing resumes, Velasquez holds an immaculate 8-0 record of his own and looked utterly awesome in his knockout of former interim champ Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira at UFC 110.

All but one of Cain’s victories have ended via finish.

No word on when these two will collide, however UFC president Dana White quickly shot down rumors of a potential UFC 119 meeting by announcing today that Big Nog vs. Frank Mir II would be headlining the September 25th show.

BTW – Lensar initially opened at -200 against Carwin, however the line dropped to nearly a Pick ’em in Las Vegas by the time the cage door slammed shut on Saturday.

Here are the current betting lines for the blockbuster match-up (Courtesy of Bodog.com):

Brock Lesnar -150

Cain Velasquez +120
