All the contestants slated to participate in tomorrow’s Dream.15 event tipped the scales this morning in Saitama, Japan.
The card will feature the opening round for Dream’s first light heavyweight grand prix. The winner of the four-man tournament is expected to be crowned the organization’s first divisional champion.
According to Dream’s official website, Jake O’Brien was only a kilogram over the 93-kilogram limit and officials allowed him to weigh-in a second time. If he’s unable to shed the extra weight, Ricco Rodriguez, who’s in Japan for a fictitious fight against Alistair Overeem, posted on his Twitter that he may replace O’Brien in his fight with Gegard Mousasi.
Dream lightweight title holder Shinya Aoki will headline the show in a championship bout against Tatsuya Kawajiri.
The card takes place tomorrow in Japan, and HDNet will be airing the extravaganza live in North America at 3AM ET/Midnight PT.
